Tough as nails top-down shooter game

Redie is a free-to-play action game for PC developed by Ruckert Broductions. It is a fast-paced and challenging top-down shooter wherein players are tasked with taking down a group of terrorists in close-quarters combat as they raid suspected hideouts and bases of operations.

Similar to Hotline Miami or SUPERHOT, Redie is a game that relies heavily on twitch gameplay wherein it challenges players to be really aware of their surroundings and react quickly to various situations and signs of danger. Enemies will be varied, plenty in numbers, and will offer quite challenging encounters throughout the entire time.

Twitch reaction

Games like Hotline Miami were surprise hits back when they were released. They were simple in design and focused more on providing solid gameplay. They also helped popularize twitch-based melee and gun combat that tested players' quick reflexes and decision-making. Plenty of other titles have been released since that time, all aiming to offer a similarly distinct experience, and Redie is one example of such.

It places you right in the heart of the action and equips you with a knife as your starting gear as you take on hordes of terrorists. Along the way, you'll be able to pick up a variety of guns like pistols, shotguns, and machineguns among the 13 weapons available. The main catch is that you only have one life to complete the level, and a single hit means death.

The game boasts of highly destructible environments across 25 levels, and you can even use some objects as cover against tough opponents. Depending on the type of player you are, you can ultimately look at this game in two ways. The first is its steep difficulty might be too much at times, or you'll breeze through it and find that it could use more levels—it really all depends on you.
